would like to point out--

moving your mouse every 30 minutes to escape the AFK timer shouldn't be a valid option because then it's trivial to write a script that moves ones mouse every 30 minutes with no way to really verify if it was done by a script or a person, thus negating the purpose of an AFK timer

i don't pay for the server upkeep so i can't really comment on that aspect

and i'm not sure if having an advantage is an issue considering, well, it's not like the stuff yqt gets from afking will be used to compete against me in something (or maybe it will?)

my primary concern is limiting lag, if alts are causing lag then i think we should definitely kill them in favor of letting actual players play the game

you do bring up a good point on how instead of paying for the time it costs for the alts to afk we can instead pay to increase performance for actual players. this is a really interesting point and something i'd like to see discussed more

sounds fine to me

i think the tunnels should be 5-10 blocks high and wide, at least from experience digging one to laplaya

since yqt brought up why i'm not claiming the whole sea -

i thought it'd look really awkward if it was in one region, and i think it makes sense to split it into multiple regions instead. i do eventually plan to build infrastructure around the sea, and if other people are interested in building on it, i'd like if we negotiated something first. some of the developments i am planning include:

- some sort of settlement on the southern desert coast above the horse road, and maybe a viewing area on the desert hills east of it
- fixing the lava lake which i accidentally obsidian'd
- making the coast look nicer in general, and fixing the exploded parts and maybe turning coastal areas into savannah rather than desert.
- a bridge to nowhere across the north half of the bay
- figuring out a way to fix the canal, maybe building like a spawntown-style wall on both sides to hide the rough edges, or maybe widening it and making it look 'natural'
- fixing the dry riverbeds on the west coast of the bay (and thereby creating another huge island! wow!)
- fixing the riverbed-lapik sea merger

The Laplaya Center for Engineering is excited to announce the completion of the Lapik Sea, an artificial waterway covering roughly the area of developed Katkoland-Spawntown. Named in honor of Kalassak Akani Lapik, this former desert maintains a constant depth of 5 meters, with the exception of the shallow northern strait. The creation of this maritime region has radically altered the local geography of the Region of Laplaya. Thus, it is imperative that the region's borders be renegotiated immediately.

The draft that the Laplayan regional government wishes to submit is carefully designed in order to craft an island identity. The region wishes to cede its claims that lie south of the new Lapik-Bridged Sea canal, and the region also finds it necessary and proper to lay claim to the grassland northwestern half of the new Island of Complainia.

I have an eff5 pick with mending so there's no need for you to donate a pick :)

However I would like the obsidian for the portal (it was a 6x5 ring of obsidian so 18 obsidian because empty corners)

And the rails I built too; 528 rail blocks total (it was from laplaya portal to that portal) so just 8 stacks should be fine.

A several hundred block long 1-block-wide path branching off of the nether horse road at about x 672 got cropped, would like it if it could be uncropped (though i'd understand if you didn't know if it was corrupted or not and decided not to crop it back in)

I've decided to remove Ventus from his post as governor of Compliancea, now known as Laplaya.

In addition, I've decided to shift around my borders slightly by revoking my claim over some parts of my land and claiming some other new parts, in order to make my borders look better. However these changes must be voted on, as per:

I've decided to appoint Ventus as Governor of Compliancea. While I still technically own it, I won't be really active so Ventus can pretty much do whatever he wants. However, Quontex will also be allowed to build his infrastructure if he gives me the plans (which I still have to approve).

it's not clear what you want.

As I plan to claim the red region eventually (once I build my bridge there and develop it a bit) I'd prefer, just for convenience, that you'd not claim the green region. I'd suggest maybe the blue instead? However if you're so keen on claiming the green region sure I can vote for it.

Due to the fact that the zones are weirdly shaped (it'd be more fair if all zones were more smooth) I think I should get it.

I mean, it was REALLY close. And If I were to have made a bend northwards 1-2 blocks it would have had little to no effect on my victory.
