Why not this thread?
We still have to decide: Spring Break or Summer.

Spring break changes for everyone. For example, mine is mid-March whereas I know the main "US spring break" is 2 weeks later.

Summer break is also different. Mine is July, August and early September. I'd be ok with having it in June as I know I'll for sure be available on a weekend in June where I can't say the same for July or August.

Bla ultimately has the final decision and he'll probably do it on one of his breaks and they are likely also very different.

Another option that is the same for everyone is that specific unimportant holiday relating to zombies in April or March. March 31st.

Why do you have so many?

Yes diamond.
The fortune for emeralds and diamonds (occasionally coal for torches).
The silk touch for lapis and redstone.
The efficiency for iron, gold, stone and sometimes obsidian.

Helmet - protection 3
Chestplate - blast protection 4, thorns 2
Leggings -  protection 4
Boots - fire protection 3, feather falling 4

Sword - sharpness 4, knockback 2, fire aspect 2, unbreaking 3
Bow - power 4, flame 1, punch 2

Pickaxe - fortune 3, unbreaking 3, efficiency 4
Pickaxe - silk touch 1, unbreaking 3, efficiency 4
Pickaxe - efficiency 4

1-2 fire resistance or instant health potions sometimes.

A stack of wood
30-64 dirt
20-50 coal
10-30 iron
20-50 baked potatoes
1 water bucket
1 clock
1 boat
1 minecart

The last list is usually on me at all times.

Yes, I think summer is the best time.
Maybe we can make a poll of when to do it (first generally) like summer, spring break, etc.
And there's also the problem of time zones, so we will have to decide that.
Anyone know about how long it takes to kill the enderdragon?

Around 13:00 EST, 18:00GMT (the time of the posting of this post) on a weekend would be best. Unless we get an active Asian or Australian member in the next few months.

It takes about 40 minutes for a single person to kill the ender dragon, so it'd probably only take 30 minutes for a group. The killing of the ender dragon itself would only be 5-10 minutes, but getting everyone together will take a while. :P

Doesn't summer sound most reasonable? Should be the least busy time for most people.

It does sound most reasonable for most people, however it's the busiest time of the years for others (myself). :P Spring break changes depending on the school board so that is useless. We have a 3 day weekend in May to praise the British monarch so that'd work for me but that's a very localized holiday. :P

Also waiting until the summer is a long time to wait to build an enderman exp farm and relying on the slow blaze farm

Also, the longer the wait is the more likely it is someone will jump in and kill the ender dragon himself. Especially since you activated the portal already.

Since the ender dragon date will have to be moved into likely February, I'll get Mojikit Stronghold open to the public before the date. Benefits is that it's the closest stronghold to spawn.

Is there any point in activating it now? Unless you want a single person or an unplanned group go in and kill the ender dragon. Its also pretty easy to fall into it by walking on the portal frames.

Felt bored and so I usually do boring stuff when bored (tree farming, general farming, branch mining).

Spent about an hour and 30 minutes in my branch mine. This trip now holds the record for the most diamonds I have ever gotten from one single trip. (the second and third places go to 48 and 46 though).



I mined every ore I ran into and this was the result. I'm very satisfied. :P

Rail route 2 should be expanded westward before route 3, 4 or 5. There isn't much in the way of new territory claims in the west and the remaining routes should be reserved for the east.

I like the idea of route 2 ending in darvwnse-a though.

I didn't have the internet to render a new map, but I did add the borders that Bla didn't. I'm not as boss as Bla is with borders, so if you have  a complaint with your borders don't hesitate to ask.

I didn't add the disputed peninsula because bong and stuffhappens will likely never agree. Fiah didn't specify regional or municipal borders so I just left the old borders as municipal in case he wanted to change them.

Both of your questions have been answered on this forum recently.

My stronghold doesn't have a end portal but there is a thread (mostly) dedicated to it.
And by public I mean making it easily accessible (rail route 5 extension). The rail route 5 extension also has been brought up on the forum recently and work has already begun.

Now that I am no longer typing on my smartphone keyboard, let me make a more descriptive post about everything.

It's great that the last stronghold has been actually discovered. I'll say that. It is the last unclaimed stronghold (other 2 being claimed by myself and Quontex, both without our knowing). The other 2 are not in UBSR territory though, with one being in UYP and the other in TME.

So the points to claim the stronghold:
1. The member has to be an active member of the server and the UBSR. This stronghold has to be in the UBSR.
2. This player has to be willing to build a ton of infrastructure and make it easily accessible to the public. This includes a user friendly layout and extending rail route 2 there.
3. This player should also have a knowledge about strongholds, end portals, silverfish and the end in general.

I've brought this up multiple times and have revived the stronghold swamp idea many times. I've mentioned that I think Bla should get it, depending on what he thinks. smjjames is next up for formally finding it. That is my opinion though.

Ok, I'd prefer to avoid landclaims for now; but here are the rules I am judging them on.

1. The land remains in the ubsr. The other two strongholds are outside of the ubsr.
2. The owner is active and knows about stronghold mechanics and the end.
3. The owner is prepared to devote a ton of time getting it up in operation for the public.

So far, smjjames has credit for finding it. However, Im not super happy about the silver fish spawner being destroyed considering there is only three in the game
I'd like bla to get it but he seems too out of it. Quontex and i have strongholds already, but if completely necessary I'd be ok with taking control of it.

Fall damage. They instant heal when taking damage. Also I don't care about how much supplies you have or how far you have to walk, this is for my own entertainment. :P Not my fault no one else likes building exotic farms. Sounds like I'll be the one making the enderman exp farm too.

Wait, what do witches drop? Potions?

Potion stuff, for each mob killed:
    
0–6 glass bottle
0-6 glowstone dust
0-6 gunpowder
0-6 redstone dust
0-6 spider eye
0-6 stick
0-6 sugar

Rare drops:
Potion of healing
Potion of fire resistance
Potion of swiftness

Basically every potion ingredient you need other than plants (mushrooms, carrots etc), gold, netherwarts and blaze rods.

I'm pretty excited for this myself. Will be an epic project, and a bajillion times safer than the blaze farm. :P

Out of everyone, I think smjjames is the one who should be the admin. While he claims to not have experience, he definitely has the most passion for the server. :P Anyways, manuals and wikis are designed for the sole purpose of running a clanforge server, I wouldn't worry that much about teaching someone Bla. Just pick someone who knows how to run the incredibly thick red tape that is Blacraft bureaucracy.

Another option is to spread out duties more. Give someone the powers to replace all of the server maintenance and mapping, the powers to the collective storages, the powers to control the community etc. You'd still have total controls, but other people would be doing the things that bug you the most.

While I know this is a bit early considering the full 3x3 tunnel is only at Forssa, it's either it closes on December 19th or December 29th. I don't have the opportunity to play much in between those times.

Also, just a copy and paste from an earlier post in the plugin thread:

The chest protection plugin corrupts chunks.

When you destroy a chest that is registered to someone the chunk becomes corrupted.

This happened to my basement, which is why I got my items duplicated after I moved them out. Today, Jace locked a chest in the new rail route 1 tunnel and I didn't want the chest there (in case it was still there when I needed to put the rails down). Now the Desertopia station is corrupted.

Kipz seems to claim that most of Desertopia is corrupted in a similar fashion.

This is getting stupid.

Edit: Considering that the chunks are corrupted, there is a possibility that the tracks may be reverted as well. Should I keep track of how much iron and gold was used in the construction of the line up to x=-1250 (where the tunnel was reverted last time) so I can get it back?

The main route from Desertopia (the 1x3 tunnel) to Guodesia is complete. It needs to be made to 3x3 at regulation standards now.

Cut out 2 1x3 tunnels on the sides of the main central 1x3 one (centered on the torches). Only cobblestone and stone walls, roof and floors are allowed. All visible dirt, gravel and ores will have to be replaced.

Any help is appreciated. You can keep the ores, cobblestone and whatever you get from the excavation.

As an added bonus, whoever makes me the happiest from doing this (whether that means doing the most, doing it the best or just doing it on a day when no one is helping out) will get 5 diamonds!

Well considering that ****'s skyrail idea to guodesia is failing, stuffhappens and I have decided to extend rail route 1 to guodesia. Still needs kipz's permission though, I guess.

Anyways, the projected route is roughly 1200 blocks...

Which means the total costs are insane...

Resources needed for the rails:
120 gold
900 iron

Resources needed for other:
240 redstone (including power rails)
350 sticks (including rails)
60 coal (for torches)

Resources gained:
Around 10,000 cobblestone
Likely around 200-300 coal and 50-100 iron

Using iron pickaxes:
119 iron for pickaxes  (maybe should use stone then?)
13 hours of total manpower (not including station work or rail work)

Using gold pickaxes:
900 gold for pickaxes (should use this to bug ****)
7 hours of total manpower (not including station work or rail work)

Any help, especially with the clearing of the 3x3 tunnel is nice here. :P

Edit: Mudkipz wants a stop in Forssa as well. This shouldn't be much more expensive.

It's been a month since the last discussion about the stronghold and I'm starting to feel like extending rail route 5 to mojikit stronghold and later to mt. olympus (maybe). The boundary between 1.7 and 1.8 generated territory is 544x (with the stronghold ending naturally at 598x) and the stronghold is in between -710z and -750z. I built an experimental slime farm on top of it, so you can crop it out if necessary.

Anyways, I'm unsure as to if you are going to crop the entire region or just the part of the stronghold which is found under 1.7 territory. I'd like to know this as the most direct route from (Vrus) Aahrus to Mojikit Stronghold is directly over the stronghold and I'd hate to waste a ton of ores on a region you are going to crop. If necessary I'll head directly under the nearby jungle.

I must admit, I love the graph, other than the fact it doesn't include any of the areas you haven't put the borders around, making it more of an October chart rather than December 9th.

For example, my Kaministiquia should be rivaling Kaeshar on the new map considering it grew by nearly 5 times the size. Not a big deal though. :P

I would have, but I was unsure if they would reappear. What happened was, I moved all of my items during basement renovations and for some reason when I logged out I got all the chests I had before back (through a rollback likely). I feel like it's probably a bug with a certain plugin but I am not sure. Since I am lazy, and unsure about if they will reappear everytime the chunk is reloaded, I don't want to continuously burn my items and the room every time I log out so I just walled it off.

Might be worth it to dump everything valuable you have into a chest (or on the ground?) before you log off. Or just not carrying around your best sword and armour at all times. Like what I've been accustomed to.

Also the spawn in wall because you logged out in a minecart is a very classic bug that is well known in 1.4, if you have the option of disconnecting while in a minecart, just get out and disconnect outside of it.

Also, Bla if you read this before I bug you about it on Steam, there is an argument over the ownership of the last unclaimed stronghold. While it's not heated, most of us want you to take it.

Hey Bla, this is a request for next time you crop the map, likely at the 1.4.4 update (I guess). Half of my stronghold ended up being in 1.7 generated territory so I have no end portal. You seemed ok with cropping out some of the 1.7 ocean biome around the stronghold out.

I'm not sure how the cropping process goes, whether you just draw a box around territory or if you need to know the exact x/z coordinates. So contact me about this when you get around to cropping the map.
