they even cleaned the flag up minutes after! using the excuse taht they wanted the flag to face a different direction! how lame.
I didn't see what happened when the flag was replaced, probably haven't recorded it, but we'll see when I upload the vid. I'll have to take Komrage's and Ventus' word for it, and the others who were present, and if really necessary check the logs.
I was the one who cleaned up the flag a bit after the battle though, and yes that was to make it face the same way as all the other Red Front flags, which face in the direction that the clouds move, which they should if you take into account wind. I never wrote that in public though but I guess someone figured that out. That's not an excuse, it's a fact. Since people left I assumed there wasn't a dispute over the zone, but the logs can tell when which blocks were placed and broken if necessary.

I've removed the dual hopper timer from the design btw, it only uses one hopper timer now, because the intervals were like 50 seconds anyway (I think).
Another probably important change to the design is that there's only one dispenser now. If you use many dispensers, it can quickly become a mess to ensure that they're all the same state. For example if only a part of the farm is loaded, some redstone magic might change the state of some of the dispensers, and if you then go to the farm, you might see half the dispensers pouring water while the other half doesn't, and then the next pulse makes the first half not pour and the second half pour water, and so on. I'd recommend changing the design to use pistons to control most of the flushing instead of dispensers if that's still possible.

I know we've spent a long time carefully building these bases, but it seems like people are put off by the obsidian forts, and I suppose the lava defenses are only stronger, although we haven't 'tested' that.

So my suggestion is that we in the Red Front agree to rebuild the bases in zones marked with 1, 2 and 3.

However I'm not really sure what kind of design would be balanced enough. The obsidian fort in the southwestern zone seemed balanced imo, during the fight with the Sequoia Front, even when considering they were attacking up a steep cliff with a long route to the flag. The new rugged terrain defenses in 1 and 2 turned out to make the ground defenses a lot stronger (although they only played a role in the battle for 1), so an option could be to remove those.

It's important that the defenses are balanced for ground combat and that focus doesn't shift to skybridges and stuff like that.

I guess my proposal for Red Front would be:

1: Remove the obsidian fort and build a new one very similar to the one in the battle with Sequoia Front, and remove the rugged terrain obstacles.
2: Remove the Red Front traces from the zone and then gift it to Fiahstorm, who can decide who should have it if he's no longer interested, just to end that old spite over the battle.
3: Remove the lava from the zone to begin with (but I'd like Komrage's opinion on that zone since he built it and I know it's not fun to just tear down what you've put a lot of effort into).

In the end, I think the Red Front has enough territory to allow some experiments with less strong defenses near the front, to see what makes for fun and balanced fights.

That would work. Also the rails don't have to be uniform - that's why each region is encouraged to use its own unique materials, so they can have both a distinctive style but also something in common. Although I guess you'd want them to be all completely different :P

Anyone who wants to do any community projects this summer? I plan to devote some time to irl but I'm sure I can't fill all of the summer with that, so looking to play some games too, and I guess, Blacraft

I had an idea for making a horse racing track communally, which would work by dividing a large area into tiles. People could then claim tiles within the area where they'd work on a segment of the track and then connect them, and we could help each other achieve a uniform look or something.

So as of recently I've noticed that it doesn't snow anymore in my city (Yukitown in Chazabethia), but rains. It was odd because I remembered it snowed a few updates ago, but I suppose something must've changed it, so I request that in the next time the world is edited or changed, the taiga biome in the region be changed to the snowy taiga biome so that it may snow again.
Approved, will be changed next time there's a good chance to make biome edits

1: The CHAMBER OF MALE DESIRE, a very large, generally dark, underground chamber, in Kaktoland or Epicland, with probably some lava and some kind of grand art somehow related to male desire. Above ground it might look like a hill or something and maybe a 2D thing of Sebastian Castro's face. Possible labor: Idea input and after planning lots of digging and TNT mining

Discuss whether afk machines should be allowed. Currently they are not allowed.

AFK machines: Machines that prevents your player from going afk even though you don't use it. For example by keeping it moving on a rail track.

I'm open to change it but I don't think it's a good idea. I don't think players should spend so much time on the server without actively interacting with it at all - around 15 mins like you can now seems more reasonable to me. If they became allowed, we'd probably also need a plugin that makes it possible to skip night if one person sleeps and in addition the OnTime stats will become rather misleading stats for player activity. Players who afk in places with item farms (probably the primary reason for afk'ing for a long time) would also take up some server resources, making it slower for the rest.

Currently the server is set to restart every 6 hours and kick someone who's been afk for 15 mins (I think), and you become afk by being inactive for 5 mins (I think) - or something like that. Those settings can also be changed.

I was thinking of making a vid with like top 10 largest structures or just some of the biggest structures by each player, so if you want it'd be interesting to submit some details on some of your biggest structures, like how many of each blocks it's made of (just the most important ones), maybe volume, floor area and height. Any opinions?

I'd like to revive this discussion. We voted to move the ice roads up more than a year ago now, and we've got a fair number of players who have moved their portals up and been connected to the infrastructure there, but Kip, Yqt and probably some others still haven't, and I have the impression they're not planning to. Suggestions for how we deal with this split up distribution of portals that aren't very well connected? Could we convince the rest to move up, or do people want to move down again or continue with this split up distribution?

Idea for street lighting... The redstone blocks feel a bit overkill and look a bit big but Idk a nice-looking alternative. I'm thinking of the simpler option to just use a glowstone block with possibly a slab on top of the material of the pole...

Of these designs I think cobble and nether brick fence are ruled out, while the orange wood, birch and dark oak look promising. Opinions/ideas?

I'm considering making the top of it different. Either by having the center be hollow, kind of like a small garden maybe, surrounded by a "ring" of more building floors. That'd look interesting from inside and from the top, but from the ground or outside you wouldn't really notice a difference. Another idea is to have it narrow in and grow taller in the center only. That way the staircase in the center could continue as well. Not sure what to do.

Also considering building an elevator building nearby that can lift you to many different y levels, with branches to the building and possibly other future tall buildings.

OnTime has been updated (including Vault which it relies on) so it now uses UUIDs. All data has been purged due to this, because the plugin couldn't run and re-format the data in the old format. So I will have to manually move the old data over. I can probably do it by looking up all users' UUIDs but that would take some time. People can also log on, in which case they'll have 0 playtime. I'll then transfer your old playtime to the new file you generate by logging on. You can notify me here if you've logged on and you want it transferred. You'll lose any time between when you log on and when I transfer the time. After that it should work as normal again.
Akani's, Komrage's and my data has been restored so far.

x ∈ {-52 ... -18} and y ∈ {110 ... 255} : Not much has been built here that is tall, goes between Kaktolake's wood factory and Blacraft Voting Center. I might built tall stuff here though but could probably build around a plane route if planned. I guess this is the best option for me if the above doesn't work.

I can check for other options if necessary.
Of course, I could also just have the arrival station be in Kaktolake north of Stargate, in that case most options are open, but you won't fly across the city.

Flying carpet of glass would be interesting.

So Kipz's script is now working efficiently, and I've changed the UBSR law on collective storages. They're now defined as all chests you've created an LWC protection on, in any location in the game, and it is no longer necessary for people to update the Google doc, which I will update the first Saturday each month. The item library law has been removed as they're now obsolete, and their contents will automatically be added to the collective storages. People are still welcome to use signs/books for communication about the stuff in them ofc.
One thing to be aware of is that it's still recommended not to use the ender chests for long term storage, as Kip's script doesn't count their contents. They're still in a gray area.
