No need to.

It took 2 hours to download the world, run the script for every person and then (most of the time) entering the values manually from output into spreadsheet. It's not really quick when you have to search through it to match hundreds of items.

What is the script reading as being sulphur when it isn't actually a thing in vanilla MC?
Gunpowder

Here are the future plans for collective storages:

- Provided the script becomes efficient for updating, it should be possible to have decentralized private chests instead of collective storages. So you can lock chests anywhere.
- The script counts all items you've locked, so you don't have to do anything.
- A central collective storage (which we've discussed earlier) would be built, probably in Kaktoland. This isn't attached to any person, so items from it can only be polled out. And in a poll, these items are used before stuff from other people in UBSR. It would also accept donations, if people voluntarily want to donate stuff for projects. Confiscated items from previous inspections would also end up here.

You're welcome to discuss these ideas as I probably won't have time or manage to pull myself together to update the UBSR laws and build the central collective anytime soon plus it'd probably be best to finish work on the script before getting too excited over handing all the updates over to me. It took about 2 hours this time and I'm not too happy with having to dedicate that every month from now on, and if people get excited to store a lot more in collective it'll take even more time if the script isn't made to prepare the data for the Google doc format. (And even the Google doc format might also be worth reconsidering, gahh)

Updated collective storages doc using Kipz's new script. I manually transferred the data though so there may be errors, and ender chests aren't counted. Please check the doc to see if the values are correct. They should list all your locked chests, not just those in your collective storage. (It wasn't really legal to have locked chests outside them, but I realize not everyone has obeyed this)

Fiah didn't have a collective storage but it was found that he had 21 locked chests, so half of their contents have to be redistributed according to the UBSR laws, here they're listed as output from Kipz's script (bottom part just lists the individual chests and their contents). There's no need to worry about redistributing it for now, as we first need to set up a system for doing that, which would probably mean constructing the central UBSR collective storage.
However, I'd like to ask you to unlock the chests or say if you want to keep any of them locked which will be counted as collective storage in the future. (Updating the Google doc won't be necessary as Kipz's script should do that, however it's very tedious in the current state so I can't promise 100%, but at the least I can give people a list of all their locked items similar to the below)

Fiah's unlawfully locked items are here:

hmm I kinda keep forgetting about this but before we went to FTB and stuffs I used to have 3 wither skele skulls and was planning on spawning a wither and that kind of stuff. However, now I lost the 2 skulls that were in my enderchest, however I still do have the one in my MISC chest in my mansion.
On September 7 and up until we backed up the world on September 12 your ender chest had no wither skeleton skulls. I don't really see any realistic way items can disappear from ender chests like that, are you sure you haven't just put them in some other chest or something?
I'll need more details like when they last were in your ender chest, when you gathered them, the more the better.

Seeing that some people are seriously voting for The End, I'm just saying that I think you should consider what there is to do during the party. The other years we've been using buildings, done parkour, etc., and while The End is an interesting place nothing has really been built there other than the xp farm and a tunnel from spawn to exit. I don't think it would make for an interesting party in the time that surrounds the fireworks so I hope you'll consider your vote.
The same goes for the nether... I know you mentioned building a glass dome but still, there's nothing. If someone punches pigmen, we'll all have trouble. If ghasts spawn inside the glass dome, we'll get in trouble. It'll be hard to transport our fireworks to the nether and especially The End as well.
I also think it'd be nice to show off and explore what someone (or a group) has built during the event, with fireworks in the background, instead of just picking a location that's pretty much just generated from scratch.

I think the other options are all magnitudes better candidates than the Nether/End for these reasons.

For this 4m wide horse road (cyan) I need permission from Fiah, Kip and TMC

I'm not really sure how it'd go below Desertopia as I can't see the stuff, but I'd try to find some route when I get there. Unless you prefer it to go on the roof and have ramps up/down to surface level.
It'd tunnel through the mountains in Vatallus.

this is biased against partinia lanis because like pretty much everyone owns it
I'll change the poll to say you can't vote for your own submissions rather than areas you manage so that it shouldn't be biased based on how many owns a region.

I thought I had done that in the poll as that's what I intended but apparently I hadn't.

The poll is up! Make sure to vote before November 16.

Also, I recommend posting below some of the features that makes your suggestions worth our votes for New Year 2015.
Personally I'm very interested in the surroundings and infrastructure. If you finish nice (urban) buildings it'll increase your changes to get my vote, or if you haven't gotten it done, post (realistic!) plans of what you'll get done in preparation of the event.

I can start with Kaktolake, Kaktoland:
Most of this district has been built up during 2014, including many of the region's largest structures - Kaktoland Iron Foundry just before last New Year, one of the tallest buildings on Blacraft, Kaktolake Monster Factory, the glass maze, a gold foundry and recently Stargate. It is an industrial area with a spruce wood factory and a stacked netherwart farm/factory. Other projects under construction are a parkour track and a fort at the border to Ampluterra, when they will be completed is currently unknown.
A large open space is found near the portal and public storage, where a horse road to Blue Bay intersects the one leading north from Spawntown. North of it, a hill with a small river and waterfall park provides a scenic view of the district.

Pics or it didn't happen:

225
Sometime I'd like to build a 4m wide horse road to Desertopia through Azecliffs, I'm not sure where it'd replace the current one and where it'd go other routes, but just letting you know.

Lord DC would like the icy and desert areas as the region Omnipotencia. Blotz would like to also have influence on the desert area, where they can both build. They never mentioned the jungle.

Blotz and Lord DC should probably say what they think of the jungle being a part of it, and then voting when they're ok with the proposal.

This is the final proposal we're voting for:

I blurred it so it wouldn't reveal details, I just intended to show the overall area that remains and leave outlines of the places people know for reference. The rest is basically irrelevant (checkboard pattern is background, grey parts I'm not sure, chunks that didn't render I think, empty dark blue areas are areas without chunks)

Edits to the world for 1.8 done:

- Has been cropped according to the plan in Yqt's post
- Quontex's mushroom island has been moved next to Dothian Desert and Dimwood. New terrain will generate east of Quontia, that should fit with the terrain to the east and north.
- 5 chunks around Yukiland and Zuntriio have been replaced with chunks from a backup from August 9, 2012, after the 1.3 cropping.
- Smoothed biome transitions between Swamphold and the land west of it, and changed Spawntown's park from forest to savannah.
- Verified that the worldgen seed isn't broken.
- Cropped the nether leninently. The remaining parts can be seen below.

any chance we're going back?
We voted to keep FTB on until Bukkit 1.8 came out and we don't really know when it'll be.

FTB has become pretty much abandoned over the past few weeks though, as far as I can tell (only based on what I've seen while I've been on, haven't checked the logs), so if people want old Blacraft back, I'm not against making a poll for it, but I can't promise when it would be, and I don't know whether to finish cropping the world or not for it.

I'd probably crop and install a plugin that disables chunk generation until 1.8 comes out.

236
"In figure 8.4, we see clumps of galaxies around 13h 20m at z = 0.05, 0.08, 0.11 and 0.15. These are quite clear in the left wedge of figure 8.5, but much weaker in the right wedge. Similarly, the void at 12h and z = 0.08 is emptier in the left wedge - why? The left-wing galaxies are red elliptical and S0 systems, while on the right are spirals and irregulars. As we saw in section 7.2, elliptical galaxies live communally in the cores of rich clusters, where spiral galaxies are rare. Accordingly, the clustering of the red galaxies is stronger than that of the bluer systems of the right panel. Whether galaxies are spiral or elliptical is clearly related to how closely packed they are: we see a morphology-density relation."

Tl;dr - elliptical galaxies are communist living together sharing their gas and dark matter, and spirals are evil capitalist. Numerous red stars are the proletariat and the few, luminous blue stars are the evil bourgeoisie trying to outshine the rest and get all the attention. But they die off quickly while the red stars live on. The universe is communist.

It appears most people are leaning towards FTB so I think that will be the next temp world. However there are many versions of FTB. We played on MindCrack some years ago, and Kip hosted Unleashed. It looks to me like FTB Monster is a more updated 'version' with more features than Unleashed, so I'd suggest that one. It's based on 1.6 instead of Unleashed's 1.5 (if I'm correct).

Remember, the plan assumes the land will generate in the same way. A savannah from 1.7 will just regenerate in 1.8 with granite and all that. We only need to crop to preserve stuff we've made.

Maybe keep more of that eastern mesa? Otherwise looks good I guess.
Could you mark the area and why?

I propose this cropping plan for 1.8, where areas surrounded by red are preserved.
The plan is based on the 1.7-1.8 transition being seamless without chunky borders as the code as far as I know hasn't been changed in ways that make chunky borders at the transition. I haven't tested this.
So it's going to be as tight as possible so we can have plenty of granite and areas with increase in ores etc. (Idk how the postgen thing works, if that would generate in 1.7 lands when they get loaded the first time).

Tell me if there are any more areas that need to be preserved or other changes are needed.

In any case, I'll probably need a few days to work on the world on my com where you can't play with it, if anything to fix some of the few random chunks that got deleted and now don't fit with the landscape (like the small water square in Zuntriio quarry), so there are two questions:

- What kind of temporary world do people want when Blacraft is down?
- When do they want the temp world to start/end? (In any case it'd end when 1.8 Bukkit comes out and I finish world editing, but Idk when I start/end that at all yet)

Before we decide what will be cropped, we need to check whether the terrain gen has been affected so much that cropping results in chunky borders between 1.7 and 1.8 terrain and how the code that should generate new stuff in existing land works (I read a bit about it but Idk how it works - would granite etc. be generated in chunks we don't delete for example?)
Bukkit will probably take a while to update like in the past, so I don't think there's any need to rush. In any case I don't know when I'll have time to do all those things atm.

The 2015 New Year event will take place on the big roof in Desertopia, hosted by Mudkipz with the help of everyone who participates.
Fireworks will be launched at 00:00 UTC, the midnight between December 30 and 31, but to see it you need to come online earlier so you can get there in time. Over the past year our ability to produce gunpowder, paper, gold, feathers and many dyes has increased a lot, so this year we can make the fireworks show much greater than the past years.

Transport:
Approximate coordinates are (x,z) = (-50 , -1150). Rail line 1 has a stop in Desertopia as well and there's also a nether portal linking to the region. Use Dynmap for help.

Material planning:
Here is a plan for what everyone will bring to the event: http://tinyurl.com/blacraftNY2015

Let's start organizing the new year event for 2015. Here's the thread from 2014:
http://blacraft.createaforum.com/blacraft-general/blacraft-new-year-2014/

First, we need a list of candidate locations for hosting the event. Post here 1 or 2 places where you'd like the event to be hosted. (And only submit your own places or unclaimed places.)

I'll enter:

Kaktolake, Kaktoland
Spawntown, Kaktoland

Last year's places were:

Spawntown, Kaktoland
Capital, Aahrus
Vrus, Aahrus
Oasis City, Kaeshar
Revolt City, Revolute De Snow
Desertopia, Desertopia
The Nether

Later we will start a poll on the location, and like last year you can't vote for locations you manage. This year you can't vote for locations you submitted, manager doesn't matter.
