For some reason there's a file called java.core in the folder which has a size of 1.005.105.152 bytes (so 1GB)... I have no idea why it is there and have never seen it before, it says last edited 20130729 03:47:06. I googled the file and didn't find anything. Deleting it.

Everything in the world folder (including player files) was backed up about 12-15 hours ago before I rolled back the world, so your player file is still there and you could just drag it from the July 25 world backup into the current world folder using FileZilla to get your armor/inv back.

I have to sleep, tomorrow I plan to:

Rollback the areas I see having changed around Capital (it would make it easier if you mark the areas you want rolled back on the world map, I don't know/remember what GLR stands for?)
Rollback the collective storage Fiah built (I assume his description will be enough to find it easily)
Rollback player files from Yqt and Fiah to July 25.

If anyone else needs rollback, please be as specific as possible about what you need rolled back so I can do it while I do this and you won't need to wait any longer for it.

Posted both on Blacraft and Universe Sandbox forums.

Yes, everything got reverted outside the areas I wrote. Do you want any chests reverted (if you remember the changes, I think it would be easier if you just destroyed duplicated stuff or give it to yourself unlegitly)? Do you want the areas in Capital to be copied from July 25?

The problems should be fixed, I flew around Spawntown, Ampluterra, Azecliffs, Bongatar and Desertopia, and it all seems as it should. Playing is officially recommended again. Sorry to people who lost progress (I guess you lost some Yqt, since I didn't know what you were doing other than failing at afk'ing in the nether, and calculating the energy you get from eating zombie pigman babies, if you lost important progress we can still restore it).

I have made some maps of the world which show that the chunks are broken in a lot of places, so I have stopped the server to repair the world. The current world is backed up.

I will repair it by stitching parts of the current world into a backup from July 21. If you have changed anything in the overworld since then, tell me asap and I will try to move it into the backed up world, or possibly refund you with materials. If you want that rather than losing your progress since then, you should not edit your areas.

Things that have been preserved from July 25:
Spawntown
Public storage in Swamphold
An area around the old hotel complex in Azecliffs
Blanoxium's player file
coolman's player file

I will write in here when it is officially recommended to play again.

The chunk probably isn't corrupted if you mean the one on the image, it just got deleted by accident and regenerated I think, and ideally we should put an old one back from a backup.

But I think the reason it crashes when going north is probably a corrupted chunk further north yes.

A chunk has apparently been deleted here, and a new one generated, so it doesn't fit into the landscape. Its outer blocks intersect the rail line between Ampluterra Outpost and ****atar (which I was going to change to go through Azecliffs).

There's water in the chunk, plus its elevation doesn't fit the surroundings, so it should be easy to spot. It seems like a tiny jungle biome has formed there.



Edit: The server seems to crash when entering an area north of that chunk, around (-335 , -850).

It's not rolled back yet, currently it is refusing to do anything because "disc quota exceeded" despite me deleting 27 old backups (~11 GB). So I've contacted Multiplay support.

Edit, copy from Ubox forums: I think the problems are fixed. I rolled back to the backup from this morning (which I had expected was taken after the problems you saw, but from what I see, the chunk in smj's farm isn't there, so I guess it works).

I haven't checked the Nether yet.

If you see any errors like that, it would be useful if you include the coords of it in the future (or take a screenshot with F3 info on). Then I can find it much faster.

The OnTime stats seem to have reset. I'll try to fix them.

I rolled back the entire world.

I suspect it is related to the limits on hard drive space which the server is allowed to use, but that's just a guess. Yesterday it couldn't start the server and said "disc quota exceeded", then I deleted a backup and started the server. I now deleted 26 old backups.

Anyway venturing into the nether etc. is a very bad idea if you see a glitch like this. You should simply not go on the server, you will obviously only make problems worse, but that is too late now.

Haven't seen that happening vh, but read on the wiki that foals could glitch into blocks horizontally and die. I guess the safest place to keep horses in that case would be a leaf/glass buildign etc. where they don't suffocate in the blocks (if they don't do that in transparent blocks).

Vh made a device for measuring horse speed with redstone stuff, but by riding different horses you can also roughly estimate how fast they are by comparing how they ride.

it's ironic because UBSR had to update weekly during months of inactiveness, and, now that there are many more players on, the update is less frequent
The nice thing about the Google doc is you don't have to update it if you're inactive. If you're inactive, you don't change your resources, so the values continue to be correct. You could just update it like me - update every time you put something in/out your collective storage. I didn't have to update my own values for multiple months. I just had to update the spreadsheet by copying values weekly.

Also the reason I let it be less frequent is to take into account if such a situation will happen again, which seems likely. And I haven't really felt like implementing any changes to UBSR laws for a very long time for the same reasons as my own inactivity on the server.

I'd like to breed a donkey/mule with the best possible stats, but I don't see any reason why I should be better at that than you, so you're welcome to breed one if you want to. Yes, I should keep a reserve, I just hadn't expected this one to die. I thought the AI would at least be clever enough to not make it repeatedly walk into cactus until death, I mean, the other mobs don't do that.

The rules say this:
- Do not destroy anything built by other players on the server without their permission. It is considered griefing.
You broke the rule.

This rule is questionable:
- Do not exploit bugs or glitches in the game, or use any method to easily obtain large quantities of blocks or items (mob grinders and automatic farms are ok).

You didn't exploit a glitch, but you were well aware that you exploited the fact that a part of the world would be rolled back.

The rules additionally say:
- Ask Bla if you're unsure about the rules rather than risk breaking them.

Which you did not do. I think the rules definitely cover the issue (the first one clearly does), but I'll add a part about rolling back parts of the world.

I also feel that you should have been more questioning when I asked for a permaban.
Why?

I feel that duplicating items is giving myself an unlegit advantage compared to other players, which is Illegal on Blacraft.

Ok, this is the most stupid thing ever. I have extended the ring from the horse island to the bridge connecting Spawntown and Kaktolake (in face with tunnel to Blue Bay as well, but that isn't dug out for horses all the way). I was working on that tunnel and parked the donkey behind me. While working, it went all the way back the tunnel and up the ramp into the Kaktolake area. I looked through all of the tunnels, the surface near all ramps, and finally saw the donkey near Kaktolake. As I neared, I saw some leather and stuff drop into the air by the cacti, on a closer look, the items I had stored in the donkey as well. So I sort of ragequat. :P

I need to breed another mule, another donkey as well I guess, so I can get plenty of those, I just need someone to arrange the breeding with.

Smj, sounds like a good idea, was what I was considering already.

Alternatively it could be sorted by item ID's, but that isn't a very logical system.

The hard question is then what the categories should be. I was thinking of two major categories, items and blocks, then subcategories like on the Minecraft wiki, we could maybe copy the categories from there. Items such as ingots, gold nuggets, gems would be listed under the blocks they could be turned into though.

Rail Route 5 remains broken near my end portal and I have been too lazy to fix it. :P Speaking of the end portal, I have not built a nether portal there because I have been waiting for the netherrail or nether horse roads. Get to work bla!
You're welcome to work on them, I generally am not very interested in the nether. I already have two projects to work on plus there has been a lot of problems on Blacraft recently and I am also trying to cope with depression, so I don't really like getting more duties than necessary, kol.

Running on open roads in the nether isn't ideal with ghasts and all the other fire hazards etc. in the nether. If the roads aren't closed the ghasts will also gradually destroy the terrain next to them with fireballs. And I don't really get why you always seem so pessimistic with big projects. :P

I am trying to see which coords people would prefer horse roads to be at in the nether. 40 is just my proposal, but I am starting to like 100 more so it's more easy to transfer to the rail tunnels.

What do people think should happen to Spheron Rilmu, now that Deoxy99 is permabanned? Is anyone interested in taking over the region?
What should happen to the hotel? I think we should preserve it, but remove the flag and let the regional manager edit it if it wants to, and rename everything Deoxy named.

Edit: Alfonzo99 has claimed the region between Spheron Rilmu, Desertopia, Welptopia, Mt. Olympus and Islandes de Yqt. The region is still unnamed and Alfonzo99 has decided to join UBSR.

He has also built a small building by the Yukitown municipality's east coast, which Ventus/Naru may want to see.

Coolman1220 has also joined the server and claimed Spheron Rilmu, which has been renamed to Azecliffs.

Smj, I think I already answered to the two problems you mentioned. I already suggested for the nether roads to be 4 blocks wide and I already recommended people to make staircases for horses to their rail stations.

Yqt, I think your plan looks fine, I just hope you'll make the roads underground if they're going to be completely straight, but that's just my own taste. :P I'm ok with connecting the wide road to Spawntown on your map, but we need Hellpotatoe to accept that as well. We will need to make the road there more wide and remove the cacti bordering the road (imo they're also a bit annoying when they're just next to the road :P).

I'm not sure if I like the idea of switching the netherrail for horse roads, not all people may have so easy access to horses, and maybe you would like not having to press a key to move, minecarts would be a nice option to have as well, and building rails to connect our nether stuff isn't that expensive after all.
