I'm not going to delete the entire nether when it has the blaze farm, no.

Is there a specific reason why you included some jungle in Hidir? I would guess, since you already have a large jungle biome, to let someone else have that area in the future maybe, and expand in other directions. But in the end I don't have a big problem with it if you really want the jungle.

Did you include the resources in the spreadsheet calculations or?

Blacraft General / Re: Projects

Yes, we could make a hole in the bedrock, 4x4 above (0,0) (-0,0) (0,-0) and (-0,-0) so people can get down from bedrock if they get stuck, and so Mudkipz can recover his items, but building there should be avoided.

But Mudkipz, did you have a comment on the items from collective storage? Did you take them out to build temporary items so they wouldn't get counted? Or was it meant to be permanent?

Blacraft General / Re: Projects

However our statistics won't work properly if people take out their gold, diamonds and iron to build temporary things and excluding them from the statistics.

Which is what mudkipz did with his iron and gold, so its already not working properly.
Mudkipz has a comment on this?

Give me a few more days. :P
No.

Silly Yqt kol. But will they be included in collective storage statistics? I guess not, if it's meant to be permanent it shouldn't. But building stuff with diamond blocks could be a nice way to store them. However our statistics won't work properly if people take out their gold, diamonds and iron to build temporary things and excluding them from the statistics.

You realize the two diamond blocks in the town center btw? Kol.

Blacraft General / Re: Collective Storages
« on: 2013 01 22, 09:47:52 »
I don't think it really carries any information. I could just put 300k cactus in the collective storage or so and say I make up 99% of the economy. Your statistics don't take into account that materials have different values and that the ones which are graphed are just the tip of the iceberg. Many people store non-graphed items in collective storages or keep many things which aren't graphed in public storages. You can't calculate the "role" of an area in Blacraft from your data.

what? just click the lever twice and it fires. it's kinda like yqt's blazr farm thingy
But it is still on the opposite side of the dispenser, it looks hard to click while standing in potion range.

Matty needs to accept the donation. The line will be squigglified in that case.

I changed it to plains because ice didn't fit that area, the ice biome was because of a seed change. I don't like the idea of making it ice again.

Yqt, that's also ok, but I was just trying to say that imo it's more fun to cooperate and make states together instead of having many independent states. I'm sure you're not trying to parasite our resources and that you could work on your own, I think everyone on here can do that actually, but I think it would be a much less exciting server if they all did that.

What happens if someone has no zone/team?
Are they forced to make their own or join one?
And if they join a team does the WHOLE team have to fight?
1: Nothing happens.
2: No, but they can if they want to (and the team they want to join accepts).
3: You're never forced to fight, but if someone attacks your zone, you would probably want to defend it yes. And the more players on a team, the higher the probability you have more people to defend the zone.

Blacraft General / Re: World Map and Land Division Thread
« on: 2013 01 14, 19:53:36 »
I'm fine with you colonizing those areas, but Matty and Naru should see the plans.

As for leaving UBSR, my point wasn't that people should leave UBSR because I don't like the idea of them having states which are nothing but name tags on a map. The point was for them to become full UBSR members instead, so we can have a big, unified socialist society on Blacraft to cooperate and have fun, which we all take part in managing for our collective good. If people absolutely need to have name-tag-states I still prefer that over many simply isolated single-player-like states around Blacraft. But I would have hoped that the region and municipality options would be enough for people, which I see nothing wrong in being managed by single players. I would have liked to see the states correspond more to the political reality of Blacraft, and be used in more clan-like-ways.

915
Blacraft General / Re: World Map and Land Division Thread
« on: 2013 01 10, 20:32:00 »
Personally I'm a bit against people continuing to make new states which in practice are really just like UBSR regions with nothing but a state tag around it. (Like Union of Yqt Provinces, to some extent Socialist State of Spheron).
That was not the point of states... The point was for states to show that certain regions are tied together economically, politically etc. in the game.

I guess you can have it and we can add that state to the list in the UBSR economic laws but... It just seems pointless to have the state imo. They are really just UBSR regions in practice. It is misleading.

Uhh, please stop drawing lines on the map, it hurts my eyes atm, also, you need to consider that there are many more than 8 people on the server, and there may be many more in the future, who also deserve to get chunks of land in The End.
Idk if there are multiple floating islands in The End, but if that one is the only one, we need to be careful with how we manage it so nobody is excluded.

You can make a sign for that in the old tax center if you want.

The spawnpoint is meant to be inside it, but it doesn't seem to work. If it happens to work one day maybe I should call it Spawntower or something.

625 seems way too far away imo. Also I don't see any reason to crop a square except if it's because of laziness. Walking 625 meters in the nether is also much harder than in the overworld.

Bla if this glitch is not updated, don't update Blacraft.

^Yqt1001's experiments, credit to him not me^
It's a snapshot, Bla's not going to update the server to a snapshot version.

And how many times do I have to keep repeating that...

Bla, are you going to update the server or wait for bukkit update? As i accidentally updated and mcnoglostia or whatever only goes to beta. I tried other sites, but I could not find a jar for 1.4.5. With all the stronghold excitment, I would love to play.

Also, i cannot count my items because of this.
You do realize server updates are automatic from clanforge?
this server is not autp udpate
ClanForge manages the updates, not me.
Oh ok . Tiem to ****'m off
B-ong, they came out with a beta build this morning, so they're working on it. I myself am hoping they get the release build out before New Years (even though there will be 'fake' fireworks in the sky on New Years).

To reiterate what they said, they can't manually update it, clanforge does it automatically, so it's out of Bla's or Yqt's control to do it.

Uploading the video. I'll let the computer run in the night to upload it. Based on the first 30 minutes it will take 10 hours to upload, but I've had many bad experiences with uploading vids to YouTube (my com usually gets BSoD some time or something goes wrong and the upload resume thing has never worked so far).
But if anything comes up in maybe 9 hours and 30 minutes this should be the link.

No, the chest ouside the town center at the jukebox. I moved the jukebox and chest ouside the town center so you could hear the music on the recording hill.

If it's shorter than speech just pop it out or leave it (you should go up to see the speech as well). The fireworks music also only has to play once. But afterwards you can play other discs as well if you want.

Yes, there is another book on Blacraft near the town center (the chest at the jukebox) with plans for what to play. We settled on chirp for the speech.

« on: 2012 12 31, 16:00:14 »
The updated plan:
This is written in a book in a chest outside the town center.

Blacraft New Year 2013 Event Plan

All time used in the plan is UTC.
An UTC internet clock is easy to find using Google.

One site is:
http://time.is/UTC

23:00 - 23:30
People travel to Spawntown. We meet at Spawntown Central Station at 23:30.

23:30 - 23:50
People make their firework batteries ready for launching. Put fireworks in them.

Make sure you know what to do when we launch the fireworks.

When ready, gather on top of Spawntown Dining Hall outside Spawntown Town Center.

23:55 - 23:58
People are gathered on the roof of Spawntown Dining Hall, sitting on the benches.

Mudkipz holds the UBSR 2013 New Year speech from the balcony of Blacraft Voting Center.

Afterwards, people get ready for midnight.

00:00
New Year begins when Yqt1001 announces it, using his accurate UTC clock.

When he does, Bong immediately plays "13".

After approx 5 seconds, everyone launch their batteries.

After the batteries are launched, people are encouraged to run around southeastern Spawntown and fire some fireworks manually.

Bla records the midnight event from a hill near Fort Kolkhoz and Spawntown's wall.

Blacraft General / Re: New Year 2013 on Blacraft

The speech will not happen at the same time as fireworks. We will all gather to see the speech on top of Spawntown Dining Hall (next to the town center).

Problem: Hellpotatoe isn't banned despite the rules of blacraft clearly stating no references to religion, no matter how thinly attached to religion the word is.
Solution: Ban hellpotatoe from the blacraft forums and blacraft.
Problem: Darvince has clearly not read the rules, which clearly say
Quote
Do not build anything related to Fascism, Nazism, any religion or gods without Bla's special permission for that case (and in general, do not expect to get such a permission at all).
...and is more devoted to making hysterical slippery slope fallacies when I suggest alternatives for Hellpotatoe's infrastructure names.

Solution: Darvince, please SHUT UP if you are simply determined to annoying me and going hysterical every time I say or suggest something. This issue did not even involve you. If you have such a big problem with me then just ****ing leave the server.

Or if you want me to actually take your thoughts seriously and respond to them in a friendly way, write them in a friendly and serious way yourself and stop making up things.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I need someone who will be responsible for:

Countdown, keeping an UTC clock showing seconds and announcing on Blacraft when there's x minutes left until midnight on Blacraft, and the last few seconds before. I was thinking Yqt maybe?

Walking around Spawntown and launching fireworks manually (those not managing batteries). I guess that's Smj and Bong.

Yqt could manage battery 1 and 2, Mudkipz 3 and 4. Ok?
Are there other batteries which need managers?

Also, I thought it would be cool if we met at Spawntown Central Station with people coming in from the different rail lines. Just an idea.

what
blacraft shud upgrade to the next level on multiplay because it is now an ever increasing membership of blacraft
But would anyone be willing to support that economically? And what if the activity drops to basically 0 or just 2-4 players occasionally after the vacation?

Mudkipz, please read PMs in case you didn't notice.

Tomorrow, spots will be reserved for:
Blanoxium,
Yqt1001
Mudkipz

At the event. Also, I will probably reserve slots for Smjjames and Bong, you two also had fireworks and batteries to launch, correct?

Maybe stuffhappens, as I asked him if he wanted to join the event as well, and I think he said yes to that.

But tell me if you have batteries in Spawntown and you need a slot reserved and I didn't list you here.

The remaining slots will be open to whoever manages to get on. Sorry about the 8 slot limit.

The current plan, which may be changed, is:

Before 23:50 UTC: People get on, travel to southeastern Spawntown and prepare their batteries for launching with all the fireworks. It would be very cool if some of you could also keep some rockets in your inv and launch them manually around the town for some variation from just all the batteries.
Approx 23:50 UTC - Mudkipz speaks from Spawntown Voting Center. The rest of us gather on the roof of Spawntown Dining Hall to watch and hear the speech.
After: People get ready to launch their fireworks and batteries.
00:00 UTC - We launch all the firework batteries in Spawntown. Blanoxium records the event from the new, artificial hill by the wall corner between Fort Kolkhoz and the central gate. Mudkipz was going to manage battery 1 (which I made), correct?

Emergency plan: I will backup the world a bit before 23:50, and if my recording or game breaks or something at midnight, I can reload the backup so we can get the fireworks recorded properly.
Idk when it'll be uploaded to YouTube.

Battery 1 has 14 launchers activated once pr. a cycle of 4 repeaters with the longest ticks.

No fireworks is stored in them yet, I store fireworks for it in the locked New Year chest. I guess there may be around 60-80 fireworks in it.

Clarify "time" and "rate"?

Blacraft General / Re: World Map and Land Division Thread

Actually neither public nor collective storage is required. There are no buildings you are forced to build. But as Mudkipz said chests outside collectives must be unlocked. And if you have a lot of those everywhere it may be confusing to organize.
So they are useful.

Blacraft General / Re: World Map and Land Division Thread
« on: 2012 12 29, 23:48:28 »
Kol. Of course. Which area do you want? (You can also suggest existing regions, they may be inactive and overtakeable).
You may want to make a map with areas in priority. Then we can find one you can focus on and make it a region if you start developing it.

941
Blacraft General / Re: World Map and Land Division Thread
« on: 2012 12 29, 18:16:52 »
First:

Yes, having more infrastructure gives you more 'rights' as you say it, in claiming territory, than another person that is less developed.
I can agree with this, the reason you get land/regions is so that you can develop it. There is no point in getting a lot of land you never use.

Second:

As I said, [and Bla], outpost don't count. That lighthouse is not very operatable. Lighthouses are suppose to be a guildline for incomming boats, and are suppose to site out boats. My lighthouse is much taller for the boats to see, and has an open top. Also, that light house doesn't exsist anymore.
The reason I said that was only so that people wouldn't build some random, simple things like cobble pillars to get big areas. All infrastructure counts, but the more effort you've put into building something nice, the more it counts, obviously.

In addition, you can see on the first post of a topic called 'World Editing" that Bla cropped out that place for it to regenerate or whatever. My blocks would have dissappered in the cropping.
If you want me to investigate this, please tell me some dates/time points. I don't really understand why you didn't tell me when I cropped the map.

Forth:

No, I want the whole peninsula.
Expect that Stuff will get some of the peninsula. I am thinking of giving you both areas around what you've built.
I didn't expect a dispute over things when I put Bohemia and Guodesia on the map

The wither skeleton skull was duplicated in a corrupted chunk. Fireworks being useless overall, it is a good alternative use for them.
But if it's useless then why are we using it? It's not useless, we use it for entertainment. No use is ever good for glitched items.

Bla, would you mind if I used a duplicated item (my wither skeleton skull) for a creeper face firework? It's that or I burn it or it goes into fighting the wither.
No, using duplicated items is cheating.
however wither skeleton skulls are infinite because wither skeletons are mobs and spawn continuously
That doesn't make it okay to just duplicate or spawn them. Many materials are infinite, cobblestone, wood, etc. That doesn't mean we can just /give blanoxium wood 9001 all the time. Then we're playing creative and not survival.
